AIMS School of Business (AIMS Institutes) has made its mark in the Outlook Money Best B-Schools Survey 2016, securing a place among the top ten best business schools in five categories.
The Outlook Money Best B-Schools Survey surveyed nearly 100 institutes across the country to come up with the best B-School rankings with a focus on MBA Finance. The survey was conducted with the objective of giving parents and aspiring B-School students a dependable guide to Tier - II B-Schools in the country. It took into account costs, curriculum and placement in addition to the other fundamental parameters.
In the category of Financial Specialists in India, AIMS School of Business (AIMS Institutes) ranked 10th. The unique feature of this category was that it included 'Years to break-even' and 'ROI' as yardsticks for assessment. 'Years to breakeven' basically means the amount of time a student can expect to recover costs in; apart from total costs, it includes interest cost and salary from placements. To calculate ROI, Outlook used a unique blend of Median Salary as well as Average Salary from placements in addition to Interest Costs and Opportunity Cost. Based on these calculations, an AIMS Institutes student would take 2.26 years to break even with an ROI of 12.59%.
While ROI is a novel way of looking at a B-School, a job-oriented curriculum and placements are other major factors in the decision making process of any student or parent. The 6th rank in the Industry Interface category is recognition of AIMS Institutes' endeavors to bring students in contact with the industry as much as possible through internships, projects, conferences and guest lectures. This category also considered corporate contribution in the teaching-learning process and curriculum development which has a key role in bringing about greater employability and better placements.
Another aspect of the MBA college experience that both students and parents look for is infrastructure and living experience. AIMS School of Business ranked 4th in this category owing to its state-of-the-art facilities for students and scenic campus located in the industrial heart of Bengaluru.
B-School aspirants not only look for a good college, but they also want to study in a city that will give them ample opportunities for employment and growth post-MBA. AIMS School of Business (AIMS Institutes) was one of the two prestigious institutes from Bengaluru to figure in this list being ranked 9th in the category of Top Ten in Metros.
Finally, AIMS School of Business (AIMS Institutes) ranked 10th in the Student Intake category. Although this category takes into account the sanctioned student capacity of a college, it also testifies to the fact that more and more students and parents are choosing AIMS Institutes as their preferred B-School.
