Aguilar Y Salas In Association With Two Spanish Companies Create Modularity

(1888PressRelease) February 07, 2015 - Barcelona - Aguilar y Salas S.A, leader in design and construction of static process equipment for the chemical, Oil & Gas and fertilizers industries, announces in coalition with Copisa and The CT Engineering Group, the creation of the company Modularity S.L, borned with the main objective of increasing their presence in the Oil & Gas sector. This partnership will allow the new company to optimize the production and the logistic costs of the projects required by the clients, integrating design, manufacturing, assembly and construction of components.

The different phases for the production and delivery of the modular installations will be developed by the three companies: The CT Engineering Group will be responsible for the design, innovation and engineering, Aguilar y Salas S.A will design and manufacture the components and the equipment, and finally Copisa will be in charge of the erection and assembly of the equipment in order to obtain the final modular construction.

Modularity and its modular solution offer important advantages regarding historical modular construction of the Oil & Gas installations. Some of them are the minimization of the risks during the development, and the reduction of costs and timing of the construction. It also allows innovation, which increases the efficiency of all the process. Results are guaranteed because the construction and elaboration stages of these modules are performed in the factory and not in the installation site, allowing parallel work in more than one area. The construction of the equipment and the set-up of the module can be developed simultaneously. This system reduces the construction schedule up to 20%, or even more.

The three companies started this joint project early this year, and since then 20 specialized professionals have been working to develop the business plan, organize and administrate the company and offer its solutions to the customers.

Some weeks ago Modularity received the visit of UOP responsible (Honeywell Group's company) to supervise the organization of the new production process for the newest projects that this company has defined in South America and Asia. For the next months, Modularity has the objective of coordinating projects for international costumers in countries like Argentina or Turkmenistan.
