Agratech Ventures on Target to Increase Silver Production in Peru by 50%
Agratech Ventures have released a statement to say they are on target to complete their Peruvian silver mining expansion by December 2018.
- (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2018 - Agratech said that the original budget of $80 million was a little over cautious and they expect the expansion to be under budget by around $5 million. A spokesman from Agratech said this was due to fully utilizing local labor and high levels of hands-on management by highly experienced staff that were bought in to specifically oversee this project.
Agratech have also raised their expected annually mined silver estimates from 300 to 325 tonnes after further surveys were carried out. They believe that the mines high concentration of lithium oxide will further add to the bottom line.
Private investors in the project were said to be very pleased with the progress and were looking forward to seeing the mine performing at full capacity in December to fulfill the increased production demands from Agratech’s growing list of clients.
Agratech said the mine will be one of the safest in Peru as the expansion project has included an upgrade/replacement policy with regard to all machinery that didn’t match its stringent health and safety policies. Their spokesman said “Health and safety is one of our primary concerns along with environmental issues, we are always looking for ways to improve our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment in the most efficient and safest way possible”.
Agratech are currently in an aggressive expansion program and are also on the lookout for potential acquisitions in South America and the region.
