Agilent Technologies appoints Dr. Tachi Yamada to board of directors
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced the appointment of Dr. Tachi Yamada to its board of directors. Dr. Yamada currently serves as president of the Global Health Program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a position he has held since June 2006.
- (1888PressRelease) January 18, 2011 - Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Dr. Yamada was chairman of research and development for GlaxoSmithKline Inc., and previously held research and development positions at SmithKline Beecham. Dr. Yamada also served as chairman of the department of internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and Physician-in-Chief of the University of Michigan Medical Center.
