Against The Grain.Au is one of those kinds of bands, which is from Sydney, Australia. Formerly, they band was known as Against the Grain- the band. They have added a suffix to symbolize that they are from Australia.

The band is known for its versatile music, which is a result of different interests of their band members. You can see a nice blend of different music genres. Mainly, the music of Against the Grain.Au is influenced by pop, rock, metal, punk, and even different type of folk music. The band was initially formed in the year of 2003, and since then they are together. They have just done a slight modification in their band's name, but apart from that nothing has changed much. Their bonding and passion of composing soulful music is still the same.

There are four gems kind of artists in their band. Bob Doe plays drums. Louie Paul is the bassist. Nelson Silva is there for vocals and lead guitar, while Peter Theodoris is a multi talented guy, who contributes with his voice, rhythm guitar, and recording skills, in the band. However, it was all started somewhere in 2003, Nelson met Peter, and they started working on lyrics and jamming of their initial compositions. Both of them were also the part of a band named Obsidian Wolf, which was later disbanded. Then these two were joined by Bob and later it was the turn of Louie to join the troop and complete it.

Against The Grain.Au has recently recorded an EP, which consists of five marvelous tracks. It got great reviews and fans' love & appreciations.
