  • (1888PressRelease) May 09, 2013 - Johannesburg, SA: The ErgoKneeler and e-clinic Management Software have headlined this year's 3rd instalment of the Africa Health Exhibition and Congress which opened its doors this morning at the Gallagher Convention Centre. The event, which will see 400 exhibitors, nine scientific conferences and over 5000 visitors, will run from 7-9 May.

According to Mark Lainchbury, Technical Director at e-clinic, this clinic management software technology will provide easy manageable administrative solutions to individual practitioners, nationwide healthcare management groups, cosmetic surgeon and chiropractors.

"e-clinic Version 11 has a number of features which makes it one of the leading clinic management software programmes on the market, including the fact that it is hosted in the cloud, meaning that hardware and back-up requirements are a thing of the past.

"Other key features include fast appointment booking in multiple diaries, generation of invoices and management of finances, creation of reminder letters, emails and SMS, full reporting suite, access from iPhone or iPad and the recent addition of synchronising with Google and Outlook/Entourage calendars," said Lainchbury.

Another innovative product designed to combat postural discomfort was also launched today.

"ErgoKneeler will help people who find themselves working in low postures such as kneeling and squatting which is uncomfortable and potentially damaging with research showing that prolonged static kneeling can increase the risk of osteoarthritis in the knees," says Stephen Clark, Sales and Marketing Director at Spectrum, provider of mobility aids and evacuation equipment based in the UK.

The ergonomic design alleviates compression forces and postural discomfort whilst promoting spinal posture. It is moulded in polyurethane foam, easy to clean and has an active antibacterial additive incorporated into the foam for optimum infection prevention.

Clark went on to say that the ErgoKneeler is already being sold in Australia and New Zealand and that the company is very interested in developing its presence across Africa.

"Africa Health Exhibition and Congress is a very good platform for us to achieve our plans of having a strong presence in Africa.

"We have the opportunity to meet the correct people in ensuring that our product can add value to hospitals, care base facilities, special learning institutions and social services initiatives," concluded Clark.

Africa Health Exhibition and Congress is a platform that allows healthcare experts get together and share knowledge on how to better service their communities while being exposed to the latest technology that will assist them to do that. The event continues on 8-9 May and is free-to-attend for all healthcare trade professionals.
