Nine local leaders step up to provide valued insight and recommendations for the information and data website, Palm Beach County Counts.
West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) March 16, 2012 - We are pleased to announce the following community leaders will serve as the advisory council for Palm Beach County Counts (www.pbccounts.org): Dennis Grady, Chamber of the Palm Beaches, Andrea Stephenson, Health Planning Council of South Florida, Elizabeth Locke, ReachDonors, Jonathan Low, Predictiv, Dr. Karen Dodge, The Hanley Center, Kristy Klaus, Palm Beach State College, Michael Papa, ARC of Palm Beach County, Mike Jones, Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Shawn Rowan, Business Development Board of Palm Beach County.
This group of advisors will champion the Palm Beach County Counts website, help develop the editorial values, and evaluate activities to ensure the information and data provided is meeting the needs of the community. They will also make recommendations to increase public use and awareness for the site. Other responsibilities will include reviewing community feedback, news articles, promising practices and featured content.
"We are excited to have such a great group of local leaders participate in this vital advisory role," said Greta von Unruh, Economic Development and Research Institute executive director and Palm Beach County Counts administrator. "Their ideas and strategies will help us keep the data and information on the site extremely relevant and useful."
About PBC Counts
PBC Counts (www.pbccounts.org) is an un-biased online research and data resource. More commonly known as a data dashboard, this web-based collaboration features 100 Palm Beach County quality of life indicators in the areas of economy, health, education, environment, transportation, public safety, government, politics, and social environment. The community-based indicator program was developed in partnership with the Healthy Communities Institute, Inc. The goal was to design a dynamic, interactive web-based information system that will provide easy to understand data for all segments of the community to access at no charge. In addition to dashboard indicators and census information, the site currently links visitors to more than 1,600 county-level promising practices and other planning resources that encourage and promote informed community action.
