This workshop has been set to be on the 3rd till 5th of April 2013 at the International 5 star hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Participants would have the chance to meet Dr. Paul Giammalvo who is a project consultant to many multinational companies especially in engineering, oil and gas, automotive, construction and telecommunication industry. His high profile clients includes Petronas, Caltex , PT Pertamina, Unocal, BP, Telekom Malaysia, Vico, General Motor, Siemens, Nokia and Wilson Engineering. For the last 20 years he has been involved in the project in Asia pacific. He is currently the Senior Technical Advisor (Project Management) to PT Mitratata Citragraha (PTMC), Jakarta, Indonesia.
This workshop will be focusing on providing the knowledge, techniques, and practical application of project costing and estimation tools to support participants in managing project cost, learning the cutting edge estimating concepts, practices and methodology thus ensuring innovative contracting strategy applicable to SE markets.

- Reviewing how combining the scope statement and the WBS assist in identifying and assessing the impact of changes on projects.
- Creating innovative and incentive project contracting
- In-depth analysis of cost plus incentive contracting
- Introducing WACC and MARR as the basis for calculating project incentives
- Exploring to the various type of simulations adopted by leading organizations in different industry to enhance the cost accuracy
- Understanding the process of identification of cost drivers and application to Activity Based Costing to determine the real cost.
- Learning the tools, techniques and accuracy for different cost estimates Identifying and knowing which tools and techniques are best practices in earned value management.
- Familiarizing to implement a 'real time" Earned Value Management system based around Excel in order to obtain accurate and timely information from the field.
