  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) August 14, 2024 - Adria Goldman Gross, President and CEO of Medwise Insurance Advocacy, was a recent guest on ‘The Joy of Living’ show with Host Dr. Joy Ohayia. Adria detailed her twenty-five-year struggle with epilepsy and the need for kindness, compassion, and empathy toward people who are ‘Apparently DIFFERENT.”

A serial author, Adria’s third book, ‘Apparently DIFFERENT.’ ISBN #: 978-1-9772-0051-8, was published in June 2024. To view or purchase the book, please click here: https://a.co/d/52oBRsi

Adria's personal story is marked by resilience and perseverance. As she shares, her book is less about the rejection she faced, and “...more about relationships and just being good to people who have a condition.” These experiences led to the publication of this book.

She also mentioned one of her goals is to publish Apparently Different for Kids to dispel fears and stigmas surrounding other people who may have an illness or disability. “Be considerate of how you would feel if someone were to reject you because of your condition… You have got to be open and think about the respect that everyone deserves.”

As President/CEO of MedWise Insurance Advocacy, Adria uses this mindset to appeal to insurance companies who have repeatedly denied insurance claims. This allows her to garner empathy for her clients and persuade insurance companies to approve claims instead.
