- (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2020 - Swati Kale is the artist of the month at Indian Art Ideas. She is a landscape artist drawing her inspiration from the natural scenery. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from a prestigious institution in Pune. She has a rewarding artistic career, wherein she won the painting competition held by Rohan Builders in Pune. Also, her painting was selected as the best piece of work at Woman’s Day camp by Art 2 Day Gallery in Pune.
The landscapes of Swati often feature flowers particularly waterlilies. In fact, from the moment she picked up the paintbrush in her husband’s studio, she has been painting nothing except luminous and mesmerizing flowers, which gradually became the ‘metaphor and leitmotif’ of her creative endeavor.
She has been obsessed and fascinated with the beauty and varieties of flowers. She believes that a flower is a symbol of the energy of the universe. Each flower is a soul blossoming out in nature, which is pure and innocent. Flowers have an expression of countenance similar to human emotions which she tries to paint using her colors. Some flowers seem to smile and are joyful, some are sorrowful and dejected, and others again are plain, honest and upright such as sunflowers and hollyhocks.
Her garden has flowers representing varied sentiments and emotions. She considers her flower garden as an assortment of memories, thoughts, and dreams. Drawing inspiration from flowers, she captures their emotions and feelings on the canvas with great perfection and precision. She always has been trying the highly versatile medium of oil on canvas and ultimately the bold palette knife-strokes help her express better, in a way to highlight the subject, the content and the emotion.
The colors used by her in the painting are very captivating and evoke a sense of serenity. In fact, the color combinations of her paintings are so rich that they bring out pockets of drama in the composition.
Her artworks beautifully feature the vivid liveliness of the flowers and are aesthetically pleasing.
In her successful artistic career, she has conducted many solo and group art exhibitions which are as follows:-
