Adolfson & Peterson Selected for James L. West Alzheimer Clinic Renovation
Adolfson & Peterson Construction has been selected for James L. West Alzheimer Clinic renovation. It is a four-story healthcare facility, spread over an area of 92,000 sf.
- (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2014 - Richardson, Texas - Adolfson & Peterson Construction was recently selected as the construction manager for the James L. West Alzheimer Clinic Renovation Project in Fort Worth, Texas.
James L. West Alzheimer Clinic is a four‐story, 92,000 square foot health care facility serving the needs of patients suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia. The facility is located near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Lancaster Avenue in Ft. Worth.
This morning, a "wall breaking ceremony" was held at the clinic to commemorate the project start. The Mayor of Fort Worth, Betsy Price, Members of the Board of Directors, as well as Executive Director Susan Farris of James L. West, capped the ceremony by using sledgehammers to ceremoniously demo an old nurse's station counter.
"We are all transitioning from the idea that healthcare is centered on treating sickness to the idea of creating wellness," said Susan Farris, Executive Director of James L. West. "This project is about wellness and bringing a full and rich environment to our residents in all stages of care."
This project will renovate 2‐1/2 floors of resident living, including 56,000 square feet of renovation, and will be performed in 5 phases. The project scope includes MEP replacement, upgrade to all finishes, new casework, new food service equipment, as well as exterior building upgrades.
The project is scheduled for 15 months, with construction to begin in earnest during January 2015.
