Adelphi University's Newest Trustee
Loretta V. Cangialosi, senior vice president and controller of Pfizer, Inc., joins Adelphi's Board of Trustees.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2013 - Loretta V. Cangialosi '80 was recently elected to Adelphi's Board of Trustees. Ms. Cangialosi is a certified public accountant and currently serves as the senior vice president and controller of Pfizer, Inc., one of the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical companies. She joined Pfizer in 1993 and held various positions within the Controller division before her promotion to senior vice president and election as controller in 1999.
In these roles, Ms. Cangialosi provides direction and guidance for a wide range of business development and finance activities within the company. She has also overseen three significant acquisitions and integrations during her time at Pfizer.
Ms. Cangialosi serves as chair of the Financial Executives International Committee on corporate reporting, which provides direction and resources for financial executives all over the world. She is also a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's Standing Advisory Group, which advises the Board on auditing topics.
Ms. Cangialosi received a bachelor's of business administration from Adelphi. She has also served as a member of the President's Advisory Group.
