Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) March 25, 2014 - Humble Beginnings, an outpatient drug treatment facility in Cherry Hill, opened today to help residents break the cycle of relapse, and maintain sobriety through a holistic approach to treatment.
"We continue to hear shattering statistics on the increasing number of overdoses throughout the country," said Joseph Lubowitz, CEO of Humble Beginnings. "It seems that no matter how hard we try to spread the recovery message, we still need to do more. This month dozens of heroin overdoses were reported in Camden County. We have an epidemic on our hands in South Jersey and the residents need to know that help is out there and that treatment works. Humble Beginnings is a new outpatient program that will provide hope to those struggling with addiction, and can fulfill the need for a quality treatment facility in the area."
According to the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Task Force, there was an increase of 200% over the past five years for residents that were admitted to state-licensed or certified substance abuse treatment programs due to prescription drug abuse. The report also showed drug overdose deaths in the state increased from 843 in 2010 to 1,294 in 2012. Also, two-thirds of fatalities involved prescription drugs.
"We understand how difficult it can be to seek help for an addiction, so we want to ensure that our clients are getting the highest level of care possible," said Lubowitz. "The goal of Humble Beginnings is to provide the tools to sustain long-term recovery. Our clinicians provide individualized and gender-specific treatment that can offer clients the best chance of staying clean. We also want to treat not just the addict, but the family as well, by offering free support programming for families."

The programs are individualized, and cover a broad spectrum of holistic and clinical programming. Humble Beginnings also provides an opportunity for someone to receive addiction treatment without having to quit their job or drop out of school to attend an inpatient/ residential treatment program.
