- (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2011 - Adam E (aka Adam El-Alfi) has always been destined to make music. Consider his musical progression: At nine, he was a member of the popular British children's TV show 'Children's Choice'. In high school, he performed during the Kennedy Center Honors in Washintgon, D.C. alongside Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. At 15, he formed a capella group Sharp while he started writing his own songs. Everything was coming up roses for Adam.
But when Adam was 18, he was struck ill and so, his singing ambition had to take a back seat. Adam went into a two-month coma, not being able to move or speak. After three months, Adam managed to sing during his high school graduation. Soon, Adam was in full recovery, attending Fordham University and getting a college degree. While at college, he won open mike contests for singers, rappers, poets, et cetera, and he even got to host MTVU shows.
Adam E now is fulfilling his destiny, performing at various music venues and recently recording an EP of all-original songs. With influences such as Ray Charles, Maroon 5, and Prince, Adam E laces his soulful, R'n'B sound with snappy and freestyle rhymes, resulting in cool, smooth, and even danceable tracks.
