Actor Steve Buscemi to Grand Marshal 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children, Benefiting Camp Boggy Creek
Actor Steve Buscemi will Grand Marshal the 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Proceeds go to Camp Boggy Creek, helping children living with serious illnesses.
- Daytona Beach, FL (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2013 - Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley-Davidson and Camp Boggy Creek are excited to announce actor Steve Buscemi as Grand Marshal for the 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children. On Sunday, October 6, Buscemi will serve as a special guest for the event benefiting children with serious illnesses and their families.
Buscemi is known for his roles on the big screen, such as Fargo, Armageddon, The Big Lebowski, Monsters, Inc. and various Adam Sandler films. Additionally, he's directed several episodes for television series including The Sopranos, Oz, 30 Rock and Nurse Jackie. His lead performance on the critically-acclaimed Boardwalk Empire has gained him two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe and two Emmy Award nominations.
Shelly Rossmeyer, daughter of the late Bruce Rossmeyer, says, "We are so thrilled for this year's Ride for Children. My dad loved this Camp and what it stands for, and to have an acclaimed actor like Steve Buscemi with us means so much. I think we'll have a great turnout."
As Grand Marshal of the 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children, Buscemi will lead the police-escorted ride from Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona Harley-Davidson to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, Fla. There, participants can enjoy silent and live auctions, music and a free lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse.
