ActionCOACH Seeks To Raise $5 Million In Donations And Funds For Charities Around The World Within Six Months
By teaching nonprofits to raise money ActionCOACH Canada is helping them to improve their bottom line as well as achieve their community outreach efforts.
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2011 - ActionCOACH has launched a campaign to raise $5 million in donations and funds for charities through Coaching for a Cause the company announced today. ActionCOACH plans to meet that goal with its business coaching in just six months.
The challenge was started by ActionCOACH founder and Chairman Brad Sugars. Sugars envisioned a pro bono business coaching program that will help charities increase donations by teaching them to operate under proven business success systems and methodologies as well as by using a simple pledge system. Coaching for a Cause aligns with the ActionCOACH belief that providing business coaching to charities and nonprofits is more effective than simply providing cash donations.
Sugars said business coaching runs on a vision of "world abundance" through business re-education, which includes helping nonprofits run successfully in the same way a business operates.
"Charities exist to create a better society. Through the Coaching for a Cause campaign we hope to help those charities improve their operations by running more efficiently. Through this campaign we've seen charities experience a boost in donations and increased success through their fundraising efforts. In that way we're helping to drive social change," Sugars said.
The program allows ActionCOACH business coaches to make a contribution to the community by choosing a charity close to their heart. There are approximately 100 top coaches participating in the program. They will donate at least 10,000 business coaching hours to chosen charities. Those donated hours are valued at $1.8 million. Goals will be tracked with an online thermometer which makes the process transparent. Causes currently being coached include, Big C Cancer Charity, Calgary Arts Summer School Association, Country Hope, Keaton Raphael, and more. A cause being coached by ActionCOACH Canada business coach Cheryl Dyck, Calgary Arts Summer School, exemplifies how this program works as $80 000 will be raised as a result of the coaching provided.
ActionCOACH business coaching won top honors in two categories in the international Hermes Creative Awards for the Coaching for a Cause campaign in 2010. The campaign received two Platinum Awards, one for its Welcome Kit and another for its overall pro bono campaign.
