ActionCOACH Franchisee Raises Money for Harrisburg Non-Profit Walk
ActionCOACH master franchisee, is raising money and participating in the upcoming Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in Harrisburg.
- Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle, PA (1888PressRelease) May 11, 2011 - Master franchisee of ActionCOACH Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Don Schin, is devoting his time and spirit to assist in raising money for Bethesda Mission, a group participating in the upcoming 2011 Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community.
Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual event held in five regions: Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Erie, Bethlehem and Johnstown. The Harrisburg walk, in which Schin will be participating, is scheduled for Saturday, May 14. The 5K walk started in 2003 as a synergistic and efficient way to facilitate community non-profit organization donation events.
Bethesda Mission, one of the 38 participating groups, has been serving the community of Harrisburg since 1914. The mission's main endeavor is providing hope and comfort for the hungry and homeless. Last year alone, Bethesda Mission provided those in need with 94,584 meals.
Schin, a successful business professional and a board member of Bethesda Mission, volunteered his positive energy and time to assist in raising $10,000 for Bethesda Mission. To date, the group has raised close to $4,800. With just a few days left before the walk, Schin still has faith that they can raise the estimated goal amount.
"I am so proud of what has been accomplished, but there is still a ways to go in reaching our goal. Although we may not realize it, our neighbors are suffering quietly, and each individual donation, even one which is small, is adding up to make a real impact in the community," said Schin.
