ACS launches its new ACR880 GPRS Portable Smart Card Terminal, he latest addition to its Smart Card Readers with PIN-pad product line. The latest addition to the ACS line of smart card readers with PIN-pad, ACR880 combines smart card security mechanisms with GPRS connectivity to provide users with a secure and convenient way of managing and transmitting information in a variety of applications, including e-Healthcare, e-Government and e-Administration.

Further, ACR880 supports both contact and contactless interfaces, and has Secure PIN Entry (Support) and multiple SAM slots for enhanced security. It comes with a software development kit, which provides tools for developing and customizing smart card applications.
