Ace Air Cares Selects UMOM As Beneficiary
"Cool Down" Community Day Event celebrates Ace Air Cares' donation to UMOM New Day Centers.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) June 15, 2011 - Ace Air Cares is proud to announce UMOM New Day Centers as the first beneficiary to receive the donation of HVAC labor and installation services, as a part of the community donation program. The donation will be celebrated with a "Cool Down" community day event for the residents of UMOM sponsored by Ace Air on June 25.
"Choosing the first beneficiary to receive services was definitely a challenge," said Jessica Feldman, Ace Air marketing coordinator. "We received an overwhelming response to our program, reflecting the huge need for HVAC donations in the non-profit community. We chose UMOM because this organization extends its mission providing life services for families and children, supporting their successful transition back in to the community."
Ace Air selected UMOM as the first of two non-profit beneficiaries to receive labor and HVAC installation services. UMOM is the largest homeless shelter for families in Arizona. Every night, 126 families are sheltered on UMOM's main campus. The second beneficiary will be chosen by June 30th. Nominees can access the form at www.coolace.com. "The Arizona summer months intensify our need for support services every year," said Darlene Newsom, CEO of UMOM. "We are so grateful to Ace Air for their generous donations and the community day celebration. This event will bring hope, inspiration and much needed summer fun for our residents."
To celebrate the donation, Ace Air created the "Cool Down" community day event for UMOM's families. The event will feature food, live music, face painting, a photo-booth and hats and t-shirts for all attendees. The Ace Air Cares volunteer team will staff the Community Day event and serve lunch to UMOM residents. In addition to sponsoring the event, Ace Air is also providing UMOM residents with food donations to fill the UMOM pantry for the year.
