Accommodation managers going the extra mile for Loughborough and Leicester students
The accommodation company, Student Beehive, believes it’s important to stay connected during this time where we have to be socially distanced from one another, so their team has been messaging tenants more frequently to have a general chat and offer support to build a friendly connection.

Student Beehive believes it’s important to stay connected during this time where we have to be socially distanced from one another, so their team has been messaging tenants more frequently to have a general chat and offer support to build a friendly connection.
Many students who are staying with this private accommodation site, have not seen families or friends in months but are fully aware that their accommodation managers are only a call away if they ever need to chat.
Cyntia Lyszczarz, a student who has been staying at Student Beehive since lockdown said: “I never understood the importance of picking where to live until now. I get homesick a lot, but the team here is always checking in on me and I know I can message them whenever. It feels like lockdown has made me gain another family which I’m very grateful for”

Accommodation managers are making it a priority to speak out more about mental health and ways to cope during the third lockdown. The team will want students to know they’re not alone and that they always have someone to turn to who will listen.
Jonathan Kirkwood, who oversees Leicester accommodation said: “Anyone who stays in our accommodation knows they can contact me whenever they need to. I make it a priority to speak about mental health with students to encourage them to reach out during difficult times”.
