Acclaimed Therapeutic NYC School Rebecca School Announces Autism Association donation
Since opening it's doors in September 2006, Rebecca School continues to be a leader in Autism related programs and therapies.

Rebecca School has recently celebrated the beginning of the new year as well as a generous donation made to the school, right before the new year.
Since opening it's doors in September 2006, Rebecca School continues to be a leader in Autism related programs and therapies. Starting off with an initial count of 48 students and 53 staff members, the student population at the school has more than doubled as the variety of services available to students at has continually expanded and continues to grow with each year. As a celebrated leader in Autism related therapeutic services, Rebecca School programs employ the DIR model, which has received a great amount of positive feedback from parents, caregivers and the media.
"The DIR model allows us to integrate emotional, social, intellectual, and educational goals for each child." says the school's spokesperson, whom added "This model has helped many children with developmental delays such as autism learn how to to relate to adults and peers with warmth, intimacy, and in a positive light, as well as communicate meaningfully with the expression of emotional gestures and words".
Most recently, the school has posted on their official website a heartfelt thanks to the American Autism Association and Adelphi University for the many gifts they have donated to Rebecca School this holiday season. A representative from the school added that this generous donation will be enjoyed by the school students and staff for years to come. The school also included an image of some of the donated items, adding a personal touch to this wonderful gesture.
