Acaji "Complete Immersion Dome" Featured on "Moving America Forward," A New TV Show Hosted by William Shatner
Imagine yourself playing guitar on stage, in front of a screaming crowd of adoring fans at Madison Square Garden. Or playing football in the NFL. Or golfing anywhere in the world, without having to travel. Acaji makes "if" happen.
- (1888PressRelease) September 03, 2010 - Acaji, Inc. (formerly Game Production Services) has been selected to appear on "Moving America Forward," a new national television show hosted by William Shatner to be aired over the American Life Television Network and other media.
Acaji's principals - Janeen Anderson, Glyn Anderson, and Mark Nausha - were interviewed at the Los Angeles "Moving America Forward" news studio by William Shatter and Doug Llewellyn (of "People's Court" fame). The Acaji team was presented the prestigious "Moving America Forward" Award by Retired Rear Admiral Kevin F. Delaney.
The Acaji Dome is the first and only commercially available rear-projected interactive dome,a fully immersive 360° x 180° display with 3D surround sound. The benefits of the dome
include full freedom of movement for participants; realistic, interactive props; motion tracking of participants; and environmental sensations such as heat, cold, and scent.
Acaji has been creating immersive environments for military training since the company's inception in 2003. The Dome evolved from Acaji's military experience. In recent years, military policy has emphasized virtual over live training, because virtual training is safer for life-and-death scenarios. Avoiding use of real aircraft, missiles, and other armaments saves both lives and money.
Already in use by the U.S. military, the Acaji dome is now being marketed to non-military government agencies and to the entertainment, education and sports industries.
