About Abigail N. Bortnick
Abigail Bortnick is counsel with the Special Matters and Government Investigations Practice Group in King & Spalding's Washington, D.C., office where her practice focuses on government and corporate internal investigations, risk assessments and compliance counseling, and complex civil litigation including civil fraud litigation with the government. She regularly handles matters focused on anti-corruption, fraud, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and has conducted internal investigations for clients in Africa, Malaysia, Brazil, and the United States. Clients have included public and private companies in a variety of industries such as energy and oil field services, financial services, retail, and medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing. She has represented corporations and individuals under investigation by the Department of Justice, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, State Attorneys' General Offices, and the Internal Revenue Service.
