ABC Imaging Moves San Francisco Hub to City's SoMa Neighborhood
Production hub relocates to larger space on Bryant Street near Exit 2 on I-80. ABC Imaging clients experienced no disruption to service during the move.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) November 10, 2012 - ABC Imaging, the Washington, DC-based printing and document technologies company, announced today that its San Francisco production hub has moved to a larger space on Bryant Street in the heart of the city's SoMa district.
The 679 Bryant Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 address is located directly across Exit 2 of the Bayshore Parkway (I-80). The increased size of the new location over its former Pine Street location has ABC Imaging considering adding equipment to the hub.
"Several of our clients have moved to the South of Market neighborhood," said Medi Falsafi, President and CEO of ABC Imaging. "The opportunity presented itself for us to make a move and we thought it was worth a look. And we liked what we saw."
ABC Imaging's Production Division, under the direction of Wahib Abdullahi, Vice President of Operations at ABC Imaging, coordinated the move with hub staff. According to Mr. Abdullahi the move took place over the weekend of October 27.
"Our clients did not experience any interruption to their service," said Mr. Abdullahi. "The store opened Monday morning just like always, just at the new location. In fact, our address is the only change-we kept the same phone and fax numbers."
In addition to the San Francisco hub, ABC Imaging operates two additional hubs in the Bay Area. These include facilities in Oakland and Concord, both of which the company acquired when it purchased Graphic Reproduction in 2010.
"Clients will definitely find the new location more convenient," said Bobby Tang, ABC Imaging's Bay Area Sales Manager. "The shop is closer to the Planning Department office on Mission. And it is much easier to find parking on Bryant. Our Pine Street location had absolutely no nearby parking.
"While we are moving to a larger location, it's not the sole reason for the move," Mr. Falsafi said. "Anytime we make a move like this, we look for ways to improve our systems. In particular, we'll look for ways to improve our throughput, which helps to get products into the hands of our clients that much quicker."
ABC Imaging first opened a hub in San Francisco in 2007. It was the company's fourth west coast location. Today the company operates nearly 40 global hubs, including 35 in North America.
