The success of this relationship is yet another example of the Columbia Machine corporate mission to provide its customers with the Total Solution.
- Yakima, WA (1888PressRelease) September 11, 2010 - Columbia Machine, Inc. strives to provide its customers with the Total Solution. Evidence of this corporate goal is seen in the recent collaboration between Turmac, a Division of Columbia Machine and Columbia/Okura, LLC, a Columbia Machine joint venture with Okura Yusoki of Japan. Turmac, specializing in custom mixing and batching systems and Columbia/Okura LLC, a provider of custom robotic palletizing systems, have recently worked together to provide their customers with a total bagging solution.
In recent months, Turmac and Columbia/Okura have manufactured and installed two systems that utilized both groups' respective expertise. The first installation is located at a coal slag processing plant in Glen Ullis, ND. The project integrated a Turmac wiremesh conveyor and operator's station with Columbia/Okura's model A1600 robotic bag palletizer. The second system is in operation at a limestone processing plant in Bluefield, VA. This system also contains wiremesh conveyor with operator's station which feeds three 401 impeller bag packers and a model A1600 robotic palletizer cell. Both systems are in operation and successfully meeting the customer's high production requirements.
Seeing the need and benefit of providing their customers with a complete bagging solution, the partnership between Turmac and Columbia/Okura continues to develop. The success of this relationship is yet another example of the Columbia Machine corporate mission to provide its customers with the Total Solution.
You can see the latest technology from both Turmac and Columbia/Okura when they co-exhibit at the upcoming Powder & Bulk Solids Expo in Rosemont, IL.
