A Wide Span Shed Granted To Audrey's Wish
Various Australian businesses have banded together to grant Sydney mother of three, Audrey Myrden, who is suffering from terminal brain cancer, her last wish - a family home for her children.
- (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2010 - Wide Span Sheds has chipped in and donated a steel shed - double garage with roller doors to Audrey, who has battled terminal cancer for the past couple of years.
Audrey is the mother of three young boys under the age of 10. She has been fighting this terrible disease since 2008, leaving her and her husband with a huge medical debt and not enough money to purchase a family home.
Wide Span Sheds national sales and marketing manager, James Folwell, was touched by Audrey's story, which was aired on Channel 9's A Current Affair.
"Audrey's story was very compelling and really brought home how unfair and short life can be. There was a real sense of compassion from the Wide Span Sheds' management team after watching the segment, and we all wanted to help in someway.
"Audrey's one wish was to have the perfect family home … a legacy of her for her family. They brought an old house and then various businesses pitched in to help make it the perfect home. We added our touch with a premium quality steel shed," said Mr Folwell.
Brought together by Channel 9's A Current Affair, businesses throughout Australia generously donated their products, services and time to help grant Audrey's wish.
