According to the World Bank, the loss and theft of electrical energy worldwide comes at a cost of more than $200 billion every year. With losses reaching over 10% in some areas of South America, combined with the rapid increase in energy consumption, finding and eliminating these losses in the power grid is one way in which utilities are striving to help keep costs down for customers.

The system is ready for pilots throughout Latin America and volume rollouts are scheduled to be ready mid Q4 of 2012.
