David Damian Figueroa is currently the AVP, of Community Engagement for the Frontier Communications West Region. He is the former Vice President of Strategic Development and Communications for MALDEF where he was charged in developing strategic partnerships with donors and in developing the organizations public profile. His background and expertise in government affairs, media relationships, foundation partnerships, civic engagement has earned him the respect from his peers and community at large. David Damian's personal commitment for positive social change and volunteering for worthy causes including the Dolores Huerta Foundation, The Cesar Chavez Foundation, Familia Unida Living with MS, and being a prominent voice within the LBGT community and immigration causes has earned him numerous recognitions.
David Damian Figueroa served as a Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles and dedicated support for the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. David Damian numerous and prestigious accolades include his involvement in the Migrant Project: Contemporary California Farm Workers (book), the Academy Award Winning Documentary - Inocente and being the recipient of awards from international celebrates and long time friend, "Jose Jose' - Principe de la Cancion ""Este Es Mi Vida/This is My Life" (book), acknowledged in the Roots "25th Anniversary" (TV), and also acknowledged in Irma Resendez's, Founder of Familia Unida, inspirational journey, books - "Simply Amor - & Simplemente Amor.
David attended Yuma High School attended Lamson Business College, Tucson AZ, earning a Diploma in Finance & Accounting. He is a member of "Up with People" and most notable are his wide range of experiences that motivates and mentors others to do as they believe to be right. David Damians social advocacy in a variety fields of interest have resulted in the implementation of proactive approach to addressing social advocacy in a strategic and creative manner for improved social change.

Familia Unida Living with MS was created 20 years ago by Irma Resendez after she learned of her diagnosis of MS and the urgent need to bridge resources and support that at the time were not available or accessible in Spanish.
