A Shade Greener Response To DECC Official Announcement On Feed In Tariffs
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has published its response to the controversial Phase 1 consultation on solar photovoltaic feed-in tariffs.
- (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2012 - Tankersley, Sheffield - Following the Department of Energy and Climate Change's official announcement today about the improvements to the FIT Scheme Announcement, A Shade Greener Ltd, the UK's largest installer of Free Solar Panels, announces its complete support of the reforms. A Shade Greener believes that the changes will make the industry more sustainable, will promote confidence, growth and investment in the Renewables Industry and are entirely in line with its own projections.
Stewart Davies, Chairman, says;
"We have always been supportive of the Government's plans for change in this industry and we anticipated these changes and will continue installing free solar systems. We now have many thousands of very satisfied customers, who are enjoying an average of 37% reduction in their annual electricity bill http://ashadegreener.co.uk/energy-study/ and our customers, collectively to date, have saved over 5500 tonnes of CO2. None of this could have been possible had the FIT Scheme not been implemented in the first place. Thankfully the current Government has recognised the huge success of this Scheme and have acknowledged that the Renewables Industry is worthy of continued support."
