A No-Cost Building & Construction Trades Pre-Apprenticeship for Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo County Residents

  • Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) December 22, 2022 - The Workforce Development Board of Ventura County (WDBVC), Workforce Development Board of San Luis Obispo County (WDBSLO), Workforce Development Board of Santa Barbara County (WDBSB), and the Tri-Counties Building & Construction Trades Council are offering accelerated pre-apprenticeship training at no cost to residents in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. This pre-apprenticeship training is designed to prepare applicants to successfully enter full time paid apprenticeships and employment in a multitude of Construction Trades.

    Through the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3), participants will receive accelerated training on construction industry basics, health and safety, blueprint reading, tools and materials, green construction, financial literacy, and more. The Tri-Counties Building & Construction Trades Council's pre-apprenticeship program offers an opportunity to enter a career path with the potential to earn head-of-house income. The program is open to everyone, from high school graduates to mothers re-entering the workforce, or a member of the local community wanting to add to their skillset or change careers. Participants will receive a NABTU certificate of completion and an opportunity to apply with any of the trades in the tri-counties region.
