A Night of Indian Horror Film In Granada, Spain
On the night of 31st October 2010 the fascinating and historical city of Granada located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Spain became host to the horror film Siski (the Sigh) by Indian filmmaker Nikhil Sablania.

The occasion was the 17th International Young Filmmakers Festival of Granada (Festival Internacional De Jovenes Realizadores de Granada), a cinema event to encourage young international filmmakers and promote the city of Granada in Spain. The overwhelming response and attention this event has enjoyed for years not only at the local level but also at the regional, national and international levels, has made it noteworthy among European festivals devoted to short films and the work of young filmmakers.
"First at Portobello Film Festival in London and now at International Young Filmmakers Festival Of Granada in Spain, I am happy that my film has been well received by film lover across the world. I hope I would make good movies in the near future and would surely make more films for all the horror film lovers out there. I am myself a horror film lover and it was always my dream to make a horror film. Siski (the sigh) is not only my first film at any film festival but also the very first film of my career. What else could I have asked from life? Further, this film is not my success alone, but also the success of the entire cast & crew and everyone who was involved in the making of the film" says the young Dalit filmmaker from India.
His film Siski (The Sigh) is a twenty nine minutes short horror film telling the story of a young couple who shift into a new house and find themselves in an array of supernatural incidents that unveil a painful and horrific story, and this story changes their lives. The film is written & directed by Nikhil Sablania, the Cinematography is by Vinod Veerakumar, Sound by Ratheesh Ravindran & Editing by Shubhojeet Bhattacharjee. Sudhir Raut, Sanchita Das, Arindam Saha & Riya Podar are main cast of the film & Music is composed by Sudipto. The film was made as academic project at the premier film institute in India, 'Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute" (SRFTI) an institute run by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
The film has been also selected at "9th International Student Film & Video Festival (ISFVF) of Beijing Film Academy (BFA)," Beijing, China, held from 7th to 13th Nov 2010 and 49th, and "Golden Knight Malta International Film Festival 2010" held from 22nd to 26th Nov 2010. The film also got international recognition last year in September when it became the opening film of the horror section at 13th Portobello Film Festival, London, UK, the biggest independent film competition in UK.
