Hound Comics Joins the Fight Against Bullying, Texting While Driving and Child Trafficking while Upping the Art Ante with Autodesk & Copic Markers

President and CEO, William 'Brimstone' Kucmierowski recently kicked off 2012 with a few major announcements concerning new philanthropic ventures including his official signing as a celebrity spokesperson for "The Project Meridian Foundation" as well as the monumental partnership between Autodesk, Ad Counsel and Hound Entertainment concerning the, "Stop Texts Stop Wrecks" campaign. Brimstone will make his first public appearance for Project Meridian on January 11th in Tallahassee, Florida with foundation founder, Nathan Wilson and Florida Governor, Rick Scott. "PMF is proud to have Brimstone and Hound Comics as part of the team. We are confident that Brim's skills will be a great help on building awareness between families, friends, corporations and nations to fight this crime against children and young women," says Wilson.
As for the "Stop Texts Stop Wrecks" campaign; the initial public service announcement was designed by former Disney animator and current Hound Creator, Terry Naughton, using the Autodesk product Sketch Book Pro. "I feel as though this public service announcement has combined a team-up of epic proportions! In all seriousness; we are anticipating that this campaign will help to reach the millions of young adults and also seasoned drivers who need to understand the severity of consequence," says Etan Wish, Director of Operations and Project Management. The PSA will begin its run in Hound's flagship brand, Brimstone and The Borderhounds this month with its distribution in every Barnes & Noble, B.Dalton and a tremendous amount of comic book shops and convenience stores across the globe. "We look forward to the opportunity of continuing this relationship with Ad Counsel and Autodesk as we believe in the campaign and what we can bring to it as a cohesive unit," says Hound VP, Marcello Carnevali.
Also keeping in line with charitable causes, Hound's Publishing Division is launching its first non-fiction piece by teen lawmaker, Jamie Isaacs. The new book entitled, In Jamie's Words is now available on HoundComics.com and Amazon.com as well as BN.com later this month. The book follows Ms. Isaacs through her journey of bullying and how she became the youngest person in history to help write a bill for an anti-bullying law that was passed. Jamie's story has been featured in People Magazine and she is currently traveling to schools across the country while educating students about how she survived bullying. She was seen earlier this week on WPIX 11, New York, discussing the recent tragedy of Amanda Cummings' death due to bullying.
Vice President and Lead Artist of the flagship brand, Brimstone and The Borderhounds, Sajad Shah proudly announced that Hound has officially upped the art ante with the recent sponsorship deal with Copic Markers. "Hound's core artists will all exclusively be utilizing Copic as our brand of choice in terms of quality art markers. As artists, we are literally ecstatic about endorsing Copic. For those who aren't in the know; comparatively - they are the 'Bugatti Veyrone' of professional art supplies!" says Shah. Shah along with Terry Naughton, Mina Sanwald and Rich Arons will be seen promoting the Copic brand across the country once the 2012 tour commences.
