  • (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2016 - Business France, the national agency promoting internationalisation of the French economy, will be organising the pavilion in partnership with the Méditerranée and Bretagne Atlantique "Pôle Mer" innovation clusters.

Oceanology International is Europe's only event targeting marine exploitation, research, the offshore industry (oil, gas and renewable energies), instrumentation, geophysics and all sectors applicable to the marine environment. As such, it represents an ideal opportunity for French suppliers keen to meet with key decision-makers, find a partner or introduce their products and technologies to foreign professionals in the sector.

According to the Pôle Mer clusters, France's maritime economy currently represents revenue of €53 billion and employs 300,000 people. The world's second largest exclusive economic zone (EEZ), with a maritime surface area of 11 million km2, France definitely has a strong hand to play when it comes to capturing a significant share of these expanding markets. New activities, which did not exist ten years ago, are now worth almost $190 billion.

Between now and 2020, emerging markets such as extraction of marine minerals, marine energy, algae-based biofuels and aquaculture should generate global sales of almost $450 billion a year.

Come and see the full range of French expertise at stands J200, K200 and K300 on the Business France pavilion, where the following companies will be exhibiting:
