Admission procedure

Eligibility criteria

IMT-Dubai seeks the following in successful applicants:

Satisfactory academic standing
Applicants to the MBA Program must hold an undergraduate degree (Bachelors degree) in full time from an accredited university. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 50% marks or a CGPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students with a CGPA between 2.50 - 2.99 may be admitted on probation basis.

Proficiency in English
Applicants should be proficient in English. Those who are not will need to take an English Proficiency Test. The minimum required score for Toefl is 550 (paper-based) and 80 (internet-based) or 6.0 for IELTS. Scores are valid for a period of 2 years only. Valid score should be compulsorily submitted latest by 30th November, 2011 for confirmation of admission.

Work Experience
Although work experience is not mandatory, applicants with previous business experience are given preference.

Remit a non-refundable application fee of AED 150 or INR 1,600 along with the application form.
For payment by cheque, crossed Cheques should be drawn in favor of "Institute of Management Technology FZ-LLC". All bank charges /commission are to be borne by the remitter.

For payment by Wire Transfer, instruct your bank to transfer the net amount as per the fee schedule and back charge all bank charges/commissions to the remitter.

Documentation required

Photocopies of all previous degree(s) and all marksheets (transcripts). If the applicant has not yet completed the final year examination at the time of application, all the marksheets (transcripts) except the final year should be attached.
Copy of the score cards for the TOEFL / IELTS.

If available, copy of the score cards for the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Combined Admissions Test (CAT).

Personal interview
The applicants meeting the above-mentioned criteria need to attend the personal interview, which is a major component of the selection process. It allows IMT to evaluate the applicant's aptitude, motivation and suitability for the program.
