9TH Annual Benefit Event for ARIEL Theatrical
ARIEL Theatrical's 9th Annual Benefit Event continues the tradition of combining an evening of entertainment with its yearly fundraiser. This year, ARIEL brings to life Fiddler on the Roof. Share the joys and sorrows of Tevya and the villagers of Anatevka in this timely and timeless story of love, hope and resilience.
- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2015 - The Benefit Event is August 22 at ARIEL's theater in Oldtown Salinas. Tickets are $50 per person and include a night of hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, raffle and the performance. All funds raised will be used to continue ARIEL's mission of teaching young people to lead principle-centered lives.
The cast of this production, ARIEL's Community Program, is comprised of young people and adults from the Monterey County community.
The story of Fiddler on the Roof shares the wisdom of generations and the traditions of a triumphant people. Through the voice of Tevye, a pious Jewish milkman in Tsarist Russia, playwright Joseph Stein and musical collaborators Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick share the struggles of a loving family and community as they face adversity. Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty for more than 40 years. Its universal theme of tradition and perseverance transcends barriers of race, class, nationality and religion with a message of faith, family, and courage.
For close to 30 years, ARIEL Theatrical has provided opportunities for children, adolescents and adults to come together on stage in an environment that demands hard work while at the same time inspiring participants to bring the best of themselves to the experience.
