  • New Orleans, LA (1888PressRelease) February 15, 2014 - The 9th Annual All-Star Gospel Celebration (ASGC) is honoring Clear Channel Radio Personality, Wild Wayne (Wayne Benjamin) for outstanding community leadership, at the annual ASGC Gospel Awards, February 15, 2014, during NBA All-Star Weekend. Benjamin will be honored along side other 2014 Slam Dunk Honorees: Donna Richardson Joyner, Bishop Lester Love, Philanthropist/Actor Wendell Pierce, Pastor Debra B. Morton, and Humanitarian Shannon Elliot Wesley.

    In 2013, Benjamin participated in the 2013 White House Youth Summit, a briefing and discussion with Senior White House and Administration Officials on the Affordable Care Act and other issues affecting young Americans. Additionally, his philanthropic organization, The Benjamin Foundation sponsors an annual summer camp for inner city New Orleans' youth. The Wild Wayne Summer Experience promotes citizenship, education, culture, sports and technology.
