60 seconds with ICON: Adaptive Designs in Clinical Trials this April

"Adaptive design of clinical trial has been around for 20 years, and practitioners have built on experience and improved modelling techniques. However, there are still a number of challenges especially with implementation and patient recruitment. There is often a mismatch between actual clinical trial duration and project planning. I believe the industry has to overcome this via the use of early readouts for interim decision making to mitigate any limitation of adaptive design of clinical trial to ensure smooth and optimal operation"
