5th Edition of Managing Local Talent Summit to be Held in Doha, Qatar
More than 100 senior HR professionals from across the Middle East to participate at the 5th Annual Managing Local Talent 2013 which will be held in November at Doha, Qatar.
- (1888PressRelease) September 07, 2013 - The 5th Edition of Fleming Gulf's flagship HR summit - Managing Local Talent will be held between 11- 13 November in Doha, Qatar. Over the years, the summit has aided GCC organizations address key issues in regards to nationalization and has been an active ground that nurtures opportunities for HR professionals to meet, discuss and debate on the latest nationalization initiatives from key industry players in their respective fields and countries. The conference aims to highlight nationalization, which remains an integral part of reforms in the GCC where governments are trying hard to cope-up with their population of unemployed nationals.
According to a report published by 16th Annual Global CEO Survey 2013 by PriceWaterhouseCooper, "Talent availability remains a significant concern. In an age where companies are increasingly differentiated by the talent they can deploy, it is a concern for CEOs everywhere. But it is a particular issue for Middle East CEOs. More than two thirds (69%) point to the availability of key skills as a potential threat to growth in 2013 compared to 58% in the global survey. 81% of CEOs in the region are planning investments to grow their home market skill base"
Jumana Mashraqui, producer of the summit says "In order to achieve successful and sustainable Nationalization; education, training, transfer of knowledge from expatriate to citizen, better approaches to encouraging citizens into the private sector, and the greater inclusion of women are all significant issues that need to be tackled in order to fulfill the desired goal".
Over two days, the summit will see over 25 presentations, case-studies and panel discussions alongside an impressive lineup of speakers who will reveal the latest strategies and award-winning programs from the banking, oil & gas, hospitality, medical and telecom sectors. Day one of the conference will witness Abdulla Al Mansoori, Director - Qatar Career Fair sharing his views on how to help the decision makers to find the resources to put appropriate policies to help the Qatari society and economy.
