Bay Area Group Announces their 5th Annual Father-Daughter Dance, Benefiting UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
- Oakland, CA (1888PressRelease) January 05, 2016 - On January 30, a group of Bay Area business leaders will host their 5th annual Father-Daughter Dance with all proceeds benefiting the flagship hospital at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital of Oakland. Held on Oakland's waterfront at the Lake Chalet, the event's organizers include Niley Shrestha, director of investments at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.; Sean Gelbaugh, owner of Sean Gelbaugh Photography; and Mark Epstein, chair of Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean's Litigation Practice Group. Tickets can be purchased here, and donations beyond the ticket price will be matched up to $25,000.
The night's experience will include a sit-down dinner, cash bar for adults, DJs, a photo booth, and gondola rides. Epstein, who has been involved with the fundraiser since its inception in 2010, shared, "Children's Hospital is an organization that Niley, Sean and I strongly feel is a true cornerstone of our East Bay community. It provides world class medical care not only to the local populace but to children who come from across Northern California. Children's Hospital provides millions of dollars in top-notch, uncompensated medical care for low-income, homeless and underinsured patients, and for that, we are extremely grateful and fortunate to have the hospital in our midst. Therefore, I think we all feel a sense of obligation to do what we can to help support it financially."
UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital of Oakland, an organization providing Bay Area families with premiere medical care for over 100 years, was recognized, once again, as one of the nation's leading children's hospitals according to the 2015-2016 U.S. Best Children's Hospitals rankings conducted by the U.S. News Media Group. They have recently broken ground on a new, six-story, 89,000 square-foot outpatient center, the first part of a 10-year expansion project that includes rebuilding and modernizing the hospital. UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital of Oakland has never turned away a patient for their inability to pay.
