Carolyn Whitaker a poet from St. Louis, MO USA, beat out over 30 entrants from across the globe in a competition to find this year's top 50th Anniversary Poem. Carolyn took home the grand prize of $100. Her Poem "After All These Years" was chosen for the sweet and loving images it conjours up. It is how everyone would hope to be when they have enjoyed 50 years together.

The competition was open from August to 10th September 2010 and drew contestants from across the globe. "It was fantastic that we had entries from all over the world, and the poems reflected the different ways that each culture celebrates anniversaries."
