Our April Roundtable is ready to break down financial barriers and show participants what it means to take control of your own finances. In partnership with Operation HOPE,this engaging and interactive discussion will set participants on the road to a secure financial future.

Partner Profile: Operation HOPE

Speaker Profile: Laura Garcia Villalpando
Joined Operation HOPE as a Financial Wellbeing Coach in 2018. Through hard work and perseverance she was able to hold several positions within the financial industry, including Bank Branch Manager, Personal Financial Banker, Senior Service Officer, Assistant Customer Service Manager and Teller, giving her over 16 years of Financial experience. Her passion is to help and serve community members understand finances better. She currently serves as Executive Board member to Aurora Community Connections, a local nonprofit that is near and dear to her heart, and leads a group of moms to live actively and prioritize their health. Current hobbies include running, walking her dog Westy, and leading her local No Excuse Mom group.
Speaker Profile: Rachel Hood, AFC, LMSW
Rachel Hood is an Accredited Financial Coach and Licensed Master Social Worker. Rachel has been with Operation HOPE for five years, running programs focusing on credit, homeownership, and small business. Currently, Rachel coordinates programming for the CIT Bank-sponsored HOPE Inside Launch + Grow: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs. This 8-week program helps women-owned businesses by providing them with training and networking. Rachel has been a financial coach for the last 15 years and loves this work because helping people with finances can help them grow in every aspect of life, from becoming a homeowner to creating generational wealth.
