4PSA VoipNow Changing Cloud Communications for 8 Years
VoipNow, one of the first communications platforms for service providers in the world, has been changing the cloud communications game for many years. On May 30th, 4PSA celebrates VoipNow's 8th anniversary.
- (1888PressRelease) May 30, 2014 - Orlando, Florida - 4PSA, a technology leader in cloud communications software, announced today that VoipNow, its cloud communications platform for service providers, turns eight on May 30th.
"It gives us great pleasure to celebrate VoipNow's 8th birthday together with more than 10,000 partners that have chosen it as their preferred platform for delivering enterprise telephony, video, presence, conferencing, messaging, contact center functionality and mobility to businesses worldwide. Since we launched VoipNow in 2006, a lot has changed in the field of IP-based communications, and the role that communications play in business. We pride ourselves on our platform being part of this evolution," stated Elena Carstoiu, 4PSA COO.
VoipNow was launched as one of the first communications platform for service providers in the world, allowing them to offer SMBs enterprise-grade PBX services, quickly and efficiently. From the start, VoipNow had multitenancy built in to allow multiple levels of access, usage, and permissions. In 2009, VoipNow transitioned from a hosted PBX and VoIP wholesale platform to a full Unified Communications platform. In the following year, business automation was added, which enabled service providers to define service plans, build their online store and customer portal, automatically provision services, manage ordering, invoicing and payment processes.
VoipNow was among the first platforms built for the cloud, thus anticipating the size and importance that cloud-based services would take. It is estimated that the UCaaS market will grow to $23.34 billion by 2019 from the $13.10 billion anticipated for 2014. Therefore, betting on the cloud that early pays off.
Back in 2012, VoipNow underwent its most important upgrade. The VoipNow Service Provider Edition brought along a whole new concept and design, with a strong impact on infrastructure, customer service, and automation. Rebuilt on a distributed architecture, with multiple roles split on as many hardware nodes as needed, VoipNow became more scalable, yet easier to maintain than ever; deployment became almost instant, downtime was eliminated. The platform also featured a new API as well as Apps support, which increased customer flexibility. As for the automation tools previously bundled with another 4PSA product, VoipNow Automation, they were now added to the platform at no additional cost.
VoipNow is currently at version 3.0.5. It is offered both as software download, as well as VoipNow Cloud OnDemand, the private cloud solution that allows providers to start delivering Unified Communications services in no time.
"VoipNow Cloud OnDemand provides a blazing fast, automated deployment and is bundled with support from our Professional Services Team for rapid configuration and migration from legacy solutions. Additionally, our partners are free to choose the SIP Trunking and DID providers. So, for service providers in search of a fast start in cloud communications, VoipNow Cloud OnDemand is the best way to go," Ms. Carstoiu also added.
Along the years, VoipNow won many industry awards, namely four times in a row the Product of the Year Award granted by INTERNET TELEPHONY, Product of the Year Award presented by Unified Communications Magazine and was acknowledged as one of 2014 Top 3 call center software solutions by MyVoipProvider.
