3rd Cleanest City in South India - Punganuru Municipality
Punganuru Municipality is awarded the 3rd Cleanest City in South Indian Region under Swachh Survekshan Survey 2020.
- (1888PressRelease) August 22, 2020 - Punganuru Municipality is awarded the 3rd Cleanest City in South Indian Region under Swachh Survekshan Survey 2020 as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It was hailed as the South Indian’s cleanest city for the third consecutive year. AP Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Mr Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy celebrated by cutting a cake and lighting firecrackers along with Chittoor MP Mr Reddappa and Punganuru Municipality Commissioner Mr K.L. Varma as their own constituency bagged the 3rd Cleanest city in South Indian Region.
Punganuru Municipality Commissioner Mr K.L. Varma worked hard day and night along with his team to keep the city clean and green even at this COVID 19 Pandemic under the leadership of Chittoor MP Mr Reddappa , MP Mr Mithun Reddy and Panchayat Raj Minister Mr Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Swachh Survekshan Survey( Cleanliness Survey) 2020 is an annual survey conducted across the country by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. It was commissioned by the Ministry of Urban Development and is the world’s largest cleanliness survey under the leadership of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
