31st Annual SwimShow Makes Big Splash in Miami
Expanded show offered more space, events, exhibitors, and buyers than ever!
- (1888PressRelease) August 16, 2013 - Making a splash that continues to make waves in the world of swimwear, the 31st annual Swimwear Association of Florida's SwimShow was the biggest yet in terms of attendees, vendors, convention space, hot events and more for swim fans from across the globe.
The SwimShow, which took place July 20-23, 2013 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, offered an incredible 3,000 lines from 450 vendors. Exhibition space for the global show expanded from 250,000 square feet to 400,000 square feet, thanks to the number of great swimwear brands and designers, including more kids and men's lines, more auxiliary products and more sizzle from top swimwear designers.
As the best attended show in the organization's history, the excitement was meteoric on all levels. Producers of the show integrated social media to interact with buyers, exhibitors, media and swimwear lovers alike, reaching more than 1 million Twitter and Facebook users in just a few short weeks.
According to Carlos Cortes, Account Executive at Malibu Design Group, "Miami SwimShow is always a fantastic kick off to the swim season for us. We were very busy and met a lot of new accounts due to the launch of our Betsey Johnson swim. We loved seeing the growth of the show with so many new vendors; competition always makes for a great season!"
Recognized as the most important swimwear tradeshow in the world, SwimShow is the premier resource for buyers from all swimwear categories, and caters to designer boutiques, resort shops, specialty stores, surf shops, department stores, mass merchants and more. This global trade show includes buyers, manufacturers, designers, corporate personnel, press, bloggers, fashion consultants, stylists and other fashion industry leaders. SwimShow features a variety of iconic women's, men's and children's swimwear companies.
"I think the Miami tradeshow is the biggest and most important tradeshow for our industry. It was the perfect platform to debut our new swimwear collections by Nanette Lepore, La Blanca, Trina Turk and Bikini Lab to name a few. We met with amazing buyers from around the world and are overwhelmed with the successful response we garnered from the show," agreed Carrie Seifert, PR Director of Manhattan Beachwear, Inc. More than 8,500 attendees from 60 countries enjoyed everything from the expanded trade show to the Pantone Conference on color, the annual fashion show and the popular after party. Proving once again that "Swimwear begins in Miami Beach!"
