(1888PressRelease) August 26, 2024 - The 25th China Hospital Construction Conference & International Hospital Build and Infrastructure Exposition (CHCC2024) attracted 51,272 professional visitors from 16 countries and regions. Famous enterprises at home and abroad seized the opportunity to present their new products, technologies, equipment, and solutions. The exposition covered the entire process of hospital construction, including prior planning and design, hospital construction, and follow-up logistics management. The CHCC2024 Hospital Construction Awards were also announced during the event, honoring 243 individuals across three main categories: 66 people received the "Project Award", 87 the "Individual Award", and 80 the "Enterprise Award". Additionally, hospital visits were held, including four tours to exemplary hospitals: The History Hall of West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Sichuan Cancer Hospital (Tianfu Branch), Chengdu BOE Hospital, and Care Alliance Hetai Rehabilitation Hospital of Chengdu Tianfu New Area. The Booming Hospital Construction Market in China
China has the largest hospital construction market in the world. According to the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, by the end of 2022, there were 1,032,918 medical and healthcare institutions in total, including 36,976 hospitals, providing 9.75 million beds, with the number of beds per 1,000 people reaching 6.92. There is still significant market growth potential to reach the 2025 target for beds per 1,000 people in medical and healthcare institutions. In March 2024, the State Council officially launched a document on new round of large-scale equipment upgrades. The document explicitly proposes a growth of over 25% in medical equipment investment by 2027 compared to 2023, along with plans for ward renovations and improvements and other key contents.
