25 Entertainment businesses re-opened in Fairfax County, VA on a limited basis for the general public
How Local Fairfax County Entertainment Business Adapted to Pandemic.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) October 29, 2020 - The pandemic has damaged small businesses across the United States and many places that shut their doors back in March has never reopened. According to Yelp reports about 164,000 businesses on its website have closed since the beginning of the pandemic and 60% of it are permanent closures.
While the full picture of the losses caused by the pandemic in a local lever is not clear, Fairfax County Economic advisory commission estimated unemployment claims in the Northern Virginia Entertainment and Arts sector as 8,800 lost job positions.
Thankfully, some of the local Northern Virginia amusement businesses were able to adjust to the new operation conditions. These venues implemented COVID-19 protocols and reduced the occupancy twice to avoid any possible crowdedness. For example AMC Movie theaters now allow customers to rent the entire theatre all to yourself for a price as low as $100.
With this being said, 25 other entertainment businesses in Fairfax County re-opened to the business. A Northern Virginia escape room venue recently released a blog about these places and measures that the businesses took to ensure the well being of its patrons.
