2017 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair
Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2017 (KLIBF) was an eleven-day event that held from 28th to May 7th, 2017 at Putra World Trade center (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2017 - The event was put together by the Malaysian Ministry of Education through the National Book Council of Malaysia (NBCM).
Kuala Lumpur International Book fair is also organized by six associations of Malaysian book industry. This event is among the major events in the global publishing year. KLIBF has recorded more than two million visitors since its inception in the year 2013.
The event offers both local and international publishers the opportunity to showcase the work, and also makes available latest books and promotions from publishers within and outside Malaysia to book lovers. All level of the reading community were made to witness book launches, conventions, seminars and other educative activities at their peak.
This year's book fair recorded the attendance of eleven nations; Singapore, Kuwait, Syria, Indonesia, Iran, India, Egypt, Brunei, Saudi Arabia the United Kingdom and Lebanon. A Foreign government, foreign publishers, local government and local publishers are participated to make the event a successful one.
2017 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair had an estimated number of 2.5million visitors and 905 registered booths.
