2015 IHA Innovation Awards Selects Two Ecovacs Robotics Products as Finalists
Ecovacs Robotics is the only company with two nominations for the IHA Innovation Awards.
- (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2015 - Canton, OH - The International Housewares Association has selected two products from Ecovacs Robotics, in two categories, as finalists for the 2015 IHA Innovation Awards in advance of the International Home + Housewares Show, March 7-10, 2015. Ecovacs Robotics DEEBOT D79 Self-Emptying Floor Vacuum is selected within the Floor & Carpet Care category and Ecovacs Robotics WINBOT W930 as a finalist in the Household Electrics & Home Entertainment category.
The 2015 IHA Innovation Awards received more than 500 entries worldwide, which were judged for product innovation by a panel of industry experts and news media; 63 products were selected as finalists among 13 categories. Ecovacs Robotics is the only company to be represented in two IHA Innovation Awards categories and the only robotics company with two products selected as finalists.
DEEBOT is the world's first, and best selling, line of self-emptying floor cleaning robots - a feature that allows the robots to clean up to four-times longer than other floor cleaning robots. Ecovacs D79 is the company's newest robot with the ability to empty its onboard dustbin upon returning to its charging station. D79 is also capable of cleaning bare floors and carpet, and features a 2-in-1 cleaning system that allows its owner to clean above floor-level with a detachable handheld canister featuring Supersonic Cyclonic Technology.
D79 also includes many of the unique features that define the DEEBOT line of robots, such as Dual Sweeper Side Brushes that sweep in dirt and debris from both sides of the robot, Low-Profile Design to clean under furniture, No-Touch Anti-Collision Sensors to protect furniture, and more.
WINBOT is the world's best selling line of robotic window cleaning robots. Ecovacs W930 introduces SmartMove™ technology, which separates the robots drive system from its cleaning system. This innovation allows the WINBOT to operate on smaller panes of glass more quickly and with greater coverage.
W930 also includes many of the unique features that define the WINBOT line of robots, such as the ability to clean any thickness framed or frameless glass, windows, doors, mirrors, and more; multi-stage cleaning process, Pathfinder Technology to return to its starting point when done cleaning, fully automatic and remote control operations, redundant safety systems, and more.
"Ecovacs Robotics is honored to be the only robotics company with two products as finalists in two categories of the prestigious 2015 IHA Innovation Awards," said Jeff Mellin, director of marketing for Ecovacs Robotics. "As robotics in-the-home become mainstream, we believe that innovation will come from expanding the role of automated assistance and entertainment for consumers. This approach also provides an exciting growth opportunity for retailers interested in being on the leading edge of robotics."
The Ecovacs Robotics D79 and W930 will be on display, with the other finalists, in the New Product Showcases as well as at Ecovacs Robotic's booth in the Lakeside building #L12156 during the 2015 International Home + Housewares Show, March 7-10, 2015 in Chicago. The IHA Innovation Award winners will be officially announced on Saturday, March 7th at the Housewares Show.
