Attendees enjoyed all that Washington DC has to offer. A huge highlight was a private reception held for attendees at the Smithsonian Museum of American history. Family members attending with the dentist had a great time visiting the attractions of Washington DC.
While at the meeting Dr Jeff Efird attended courses on treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction, sleep apnea treatment, and 3-D cone beam X-ray interpretation. Dentist are noticing correlations between TMD and sleep apnea. Fortunately simple treatments can often greatly improve these conditions. Undiagnosed sleep apnea can be life threatening.
