2012 Victory For Vets Sunset Ride Raises $5,500 For Operation: Coming Home
Triangle Victory Riders And Triangle Veterans Association Donate Funds From Motorcycle Ride To Build New Home For Disabled Veteran.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2012 - Operation: Coming Home (http://operationcominghome.com), a joint volunteer project by the Triangle Veterans Association, Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County (HBA), and Royal Oaks Building Group, among others, has announced that the 2012 Victory for Vets Sunset Ride, hosted in coordination with the Triangle Victory Riders (TVR) and Triangle Veterans Association (TVA), raised $5,500 for the nonprofit organization. All proceeds from the second annual ride were donated to Operation: Coming Home in its efforts to build its fourth Hero Home for a disabled military veteran who has served in the Middle East.
Twenty-eight bikers from the Triangle Victory Riders were joined by members from the Piedmont Victory Riders chapter. The fundraiser ran smoothly thanks to volunteers from Credit Suisse in Research Triangle Park, local members of The Mission Continues nonprofit organization and Fire & Life Safety America, Raleigh District. After the ride, local band The Regulars played at Rally Point Sports Grill, much to the crowd's delight.
